I love being about to have the power to be able to choose music that riders are going to cycle to and have fun with, but also relate to. I love being able to create an escape for college students for 45 minutes to work hard and get away from their never-ending work loads. I love being able to create my own choreography that riders jive with and can just let their dance moves run wild. But most importantly, I love being able to impact these riders in a way that makes them smile or feel better. I was coming off a really bad weekend before my first class and the week wasn't seeming to turn uphill from me. I had to be strong for this class, and the moment I walked in, I realized I wasn't alone. I don't know everyone's story coming into class, but I do know that in those 45 minutes of riding together, we don't just ride for ourselves, but we ride for each other. We are a unit. We are a family <3. Tuesdays at 5:30-6:15 pm at the recreation center, come ride with me!
Cowtown Half Marathon One of my goals was to work on running 8 minute miles. To get qualified to run the Boston Marathon for my aunt, the slowest speed they will take is 8 minute miles. So that has been a goal.
I promised my aunt I would run the Boston before I graduate TCU for her when she was in a coma after a spontaneous brain stroke. I don't break my promises. 2/25/2019: Happy to say that I ran the Cowtown Half Marathon (Fort Worth, TX), with each of the 13.1 miles being 7:58-8:02 minutes long! Wahoo! Although I am sore now, I pushed, and God gave me strength and endurance to push through! Boston, Im comin' for ya! |

I want these books to serve as a mirror for those who can relate to the main character in my books about kids with disabilities, and let them know that they are unique, beautiful, and special within their own way. I want to remove the word “normal” and explain that this word is ambiguous and can most easily let one another down when you compare it to this norm. I want kids to know that they were not born to fit in but to stand out in their very own way. And I want it to also serve as a window to the majority of students and kids who encounter others that may be different, and remove the stigma of disabilities being handicaps that limit one’s abilities, but instead, something that makes them so beautifully made.

9/27/2018: Approved Past Stage 1 to be a Cyclebar Instructor!
11/5/2018: I'm A Cyclestar!!!Dreams do come true if you truly pursue them! About a year ago, I told one of the instructors at Cyclebar that I wanted to do what they did. He didn't forget! At the beginning of my sophomore year, Glenn (a Cyclestar) asked if I wanted to go through the process, and I was overwhelmingly exited. After these past couple months of training and working on a 12-song series to send in to Cyclebar Corp, I finally got approved on November 5th! Can't wait for this new beginning!
